Hotel Ibis Lisboa Parque das Naçôes.
As usual, we prefer to stay at Ibis if it is near the central station. We love the comfortable bed, its minimalist concept (small room with shower only), the decor and of course the reasonable price. The free wifi was stable and ok.
Our room in Lisbon included breakfast which is quite adequate but not halal. The cafe was spacious and beautifully decorated.
The bathroom is small with a shower only but very clean. I love the soap dispenser which I tried to look for back in Malaysia but till now couldn't find it.
Yellow Bus Official Sightseeing Tours
We opted for a 48hrs hop-on-hop-off ticket (bus & tram). The bus stop is very close to our hotel.
The tour has 2 routes namely Tagus and Olisipo and for €35 it also includes the Hills Tramcar Tour. A good choice if you don't want to queue for the No. 28 Tram.
The Tore de Belem (Belem Tower)
Belém Tower, or the "Tower of St Vincent", is a fortified tower located in the civil parish of Santa Maria de Belém in the municipality of Lisbon, Portugal. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the significant role it played in the Portuguese maritime discoveries of the era of the Age of Discoveries. The tower was commissioned by King John II to be part of a defense system at the mouth of the Tagus river and a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon. The tower was built in the early 16th century.
Praça da Figueira
Praça da Figueira Lisbon is regarded as the third square of the Baixa district. It is surrounded open air cafès and a bronze statue of King John I and a major transport hub. This is also the YellowBus departure point for its Tagus and Olisipo Route.
