KUL-ZUR
Alas after more than 2 years of being unable to travel we flew to Zurich via Bangkok on 1 November 2022 for our much-awaited trip to the Swiss Alps and Villages.
Upon reaching KLIA we wrapped our luggage and proceeded to the Thai Airways counter to drop them off.
For this trip, we were not required to undergo PCR tests in Malaysia and Switzerland including transiting in BKK.
We were supposed to depart from KLIA to BKK at 1305 hrs but the flight was delayed for 30 minutes. Besides that, there was also a gate change from C34 to C12.
Finally, we took off at 1335 hrs and arrived at BKK at 1435 hrs (Bangkok time). Thai Airways served us a meal (pre-booked Muslim Meal) for this short flight of about 2 hours.
Our flight to Zurich was also delayed for 30 minutes from the scheduled departure time of 0035 hrs to 0135 hrs.
Upon boarding, we found out that this flight was not full and we used the empty seats for ourselves.
The legroom on this flight was sufficient for my long legs. We were served 2 meals (Muslim meals) for this 11 hours flight which was uncomfortable due to the constant turbulence (50% of the route).
We arrived at Zurich Airport at 0700 hrs. Passport control was quick and we had our luggage waiting for us when we reached the belt. After picking up our luggage we headed straight to the train station at Zurich Airport to purchase tickets to Zermatt.
